Eckhart Public Library is seeking a full-time Technical Services Assistant Manager. This position will oversee cataloging at Eckhart Public Library, and will assist with Collection Development. The Tech Services Assistant Manager will also work with the public at points of service throughout the Eckhart Public Library campus, and may also participate in programming and outreach tasks as assigned. The Technical Services Assistant Manager will work some nights and weekends.

Eckhart Public Library is seeking three part-time staff members – a Public Service Specialist, a Programming Specialist, and a Cataloging Specialist. The Public Service Specialist will focus on providing excellent service and equitable access to Eckhart Public Library’s services and collection, and will assist with technology instruction and troubleshooting. The Programming Specialist will help provide high-quality programming on the Eckhart Public Library campus and around the community. The Cataloging Specialist will catalog items quickly and accurately so that they are discoverable in the library catalog and on library shelves. All positions will include work with the public at points of service throughout the Eckhart Public Library campus. The Public Service Specialist, Programming Specialist, and Cataloging Specialist will work approximately 25 hours per week, including some nights and weekends.

Technical Services Assistant Manager:
The Technical Services Assistant Manager assists in ensuring that library users have a well-balanced,
well-maintained, and up-to-date collection that is easy to use, and that items are discoverable and
accessible.

Cataloging Specialist:
The Cataloging Specialist assists in ensuring that the entire community served by Eckhart Public Library
is able to access library materials by cataloging items quickly and accurately so that they are discoverable
in the library catalog and on library shelves.

Programming Specialist:
The Programming Specialist ensures that users and the community are given access to diverse
information, and a variety of opportunities for creativity and discovery through high-quality programming
both on the library campus and off-site.

Public Service Specialist:
The Public Service Specialist ensures that users receive accurate information and equitable access to
Eckhart Public Library’s collections and resources in a customer service-oriented environment across
the library campus.
