AUBURN — Richard Luginbill of Decatur was the winner of the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Mueseum’s Corvette Raffle.
The museum began selling raffle tickets in February for $100 apiece, with the goal of selling $1,500 tickets. Partnering with Kelley Chevrolet of Fort Wayne, the museum received a white 2019 Corvette Stingray to display at the museum and in the Education & Exhibit Plaza.
Since 1,200 certificates were not sold by July 5, the drawing date, the museum modified the raffle and withdrew the first prize, awarded second- and third-place prizes, and split the remaining net proceeds equally between the museum and the first prize winner, which is in excess of $40,000 pending final audit.
Second prize of $2,000 went to Mary Cook and Sheri Flahive of Grand Haven, Michigan, and third prize of $1,000 went to Daniel Halstead of Union Springs, New York.
